There is a lot happening today. So much so, that I thought it warranted a mid-week photo post.
First of all, spring has finally come to the city. Everything is in bloom. The skies have been clear and blue. There is a sense of things becoming unstuck and moving forward. New growth is starting to break through from the hard soil and the grey leafless branches of the winter trees.
After decades of abusing the system almost to the breaking point, we are finally going to see what happens when the seeming untouchables of this city, get touched. Freedom in this country has got to begin with equality. Equality means that we are all treated the same way in the eyes of the law. What’s happening today in the Criminal Court district of New York City is something very new. There will be both positive and negative repercussions from whatever unfolds. Like the leaves and shoots appearing, it signals growth.
Of everything due to begin today, what I am most happy about is the debut, tonight, of my husband Michael Mastro in the role of Tom Keeney in FUNNY GIRL starring Lea Michele at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway. However much he’s glad I’m not, I am sorry to not be there tonight to cheer him on. To say that I am proud of him might be the understatement of the year. Break a- leg my love and please have FUN!
That’s so exciting about Michael’s debut! Many blessings to you both!♥️
